DAY 1 : John O'Groats to Berriedale

Thankfully the train broke down twice which meant that Scotrail put on a minibus and I managed to slip the driver £10 to take me all the way to John O'Groats.

Had my photo taken under the John O'Groats sign and the man in the hut said that I was the first cyclist this year (having experienced the weather, I can see why !).

Set off at 2pm and 3 windy hours later reached the Llama farm at Berriedale where I was really looked after by Brian and Mary.
